The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation imposing a $2,000.00 fine against Ames Bennett of Palm Beach, Florida. Mr. Bennett, a licensed architect, signed and sealed plans for a residential project that were prepared by an unlicensed draftsman without ever meeting with the client. Further, the unlicensed draftsman contracted directly with the client to provide architectural services.

Louis Canales
Canales Designs
Case No. 2004-039283

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation imposing a $5,000.00 fine plus costs against Louis Canales of Lake Worth, Florida. Mr. Canales is unlicensed and entered into a contract and provided architectural services for commercial property. Further, Mr. Canales is offering architectural services through a business entity without a certificate of authorization.

Robert L. Carelli
Case No. 2004-057911

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation imposing a $5,000.00 fine plus costs against Robert Carelli of DeLand, Florida. Mr. Carelli is unlicensed and entered into a contract and prepared drawings for a commercial project known as the Northside Physical Therapy and Rehab, Inc. After the plans were rejected by the Architectural Review Committee, Mr. Carelli retained a licensed architect.

Patricia Crawford
Case No. 2005-019590

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation imposing a $500.00 fine against Patricia Crawford of Naples, Florida. Further, Ms. Crawford was required to complete a required core curriculum course. Ms. Crawford is licensed to practice interior design in the State of Florida but failed to provide proof of taking the required core curriculum course by May 31, 2003 or within two years after initial licensure.

William Tony Davenport
Case No. 2004-048815

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation imposing a $4,000.00 fine plus costs against William Tony Davenport of Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Mr. Davenport is a licensed general contractor but not a licensed architect in Florida. Mr. Davenport obtained signed and sealed plans from one project, altered the plans slightly and submitted them for a building permit. Mr. Davenport never obtained the permission of the original architect to use the plans and the permit was issued based on the architect’s seal without his knowledge.

Brian P. Fredley
Case No. 2005-002422

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation imposing a $10,000.00 fine plus costs against Brian Fredley of Daytona Beach, Florida. Mr. Fredley is not licensed and entered into three separate contracts to perform architectural services on commercial projects. Further, Mr. Fredley is offering architectural services through BPF Design Incorporated without a certificate of authorization.

Case No. 2005-005480

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation imposing a $7,500.00 fine plus costs against Charles Scott Hughes of Hobe Sound, Florida. Mr. Hughes is a licensed architect in Virginia but not in Florida and is offering architectural services through SH:ARC Architectural Plus in Hobe Sound, Florida without a certificate of authorization. Mr. Hughes also contracted to provide architectural services for a school.

Hustons Office Furniture and Supplies
Case No. 2004-054895

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation imposing a $5,000.00 fine plus costs against Hustons Office Furniture and Supplies of Stuart, Florida. Hustons Office Furniture and Supplies is not licensed and is offering interior design services. Further, the firm sent a proposal to provide interior design services for a hospital.

Jarvis Osorio
Case No. 2004-045403

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order imposing a $10,000.00 fine plus costs against Jarvis Osorio of Miami Lakes, Florida. Mr. Osorio is not licensed and distributed a business card which held himself out as an architect and contained the license number of another.

Jacek Schindler
Case No. 2004-059441

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation placing a reprimand against Jacek Schindler of Hollywood, Florida. Mr. Schindler, a licensed architect, signed and sealed plans for a residence that were prepared by an unlicensed draftsman without ever meeting with the client. Further, the unlicensed draftsman contracted directly with the client to provide “architectural services”.

Ruben Travieso
Case No. 2004-032031

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation placing a reprimand plus costs against Ruben Travieso of Miami, Florida. Mr. Travieso, a licensed architect, signed and sealed plans for a residential project without ever meeting with the client. Further, the unlicensed draftsman contracted directly with the client to provide architectural services.

Roman Yurkiewicz
Case No. 2005-002759

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation placing a reprimand and two years of probation against Roman Yurkiewicz license of Daytona Beach, Florida. Mr. Yurkiewicz signed and sealed plans for commercial projects that were prepared by an unlicensed draftsman. The unlicensed draftsman contracted directly with the clients to provide architectural services. Further, Mr. Yurkiewicz is offering architectural services through a business entity without a certificate of authorization.
