I. Unlicensed Cases
Apple Designs, Inc.
Case No. 2003-094589
Probable Cause was found that Apple Designs, Inc. of Celebration, Florida is not licensed and held itself out as "Information Architects" on its website. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued, along with a request that an affidavit be signed stating it will refrain from offering architectural services and it has changed its website to remove all references to architects. If the affidavit is not returned, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Guillermo Aragon
Comas Construction Group, Inc.
Case Number 2003-084567
Probable cause was found that Guillermo Aragon of Miami, Florida is not licensed and entered into a contract to provide architectural drawings for a residence. Further, his business card offers "Architectural Design". A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued, along with a request that Mr. Aragon sign an affidavit stating he will refrain from offering architectural services and has changed his contract and business card to remove all references to architecture or words to that effect. If Mr. Aragon fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Architectural Designs by East Coast
Case Number 2003-092233
Probable cause was found that Architectural Designs by East Coast is not licensed and is doing business and is offering architectural services. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued, along with a request that an affidavit be signed stating it will refrain from offering architectural services and has changed its business name and yellow page advertisement and will not offer such services in the future. If the affidavit is not returned, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Robert Stueber
Case No. 2003-081736
Probable Cause was found that Architektur of Sarasota, Florida is not a licensed architectural firm in Florida. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was previously issued. Mr. Stueber was required to sign an affidavit and return it within 30 days. Mr. Stueber failed to return the affidavit. As Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.
C&G Services Group Corp.
Samuel Chanis
Case No. 2004-017321
Probable Cause was found that C&G Services Group Corp. of Miami, Florida is not licensed and is offering architectural services in a brochure. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued, along with a request that an affidavit be signed stating it will no longer offer architectural services and that it has changed its brochure to remove all references to architecture or words to that effect, and it will not offer such services in the future. If the affidavit is not returned, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Nadya Troche Chapra
Case Number 2004-007571
Probable Cause was found that Nadya Chapra of Miami Beach, Florida is not licensed and is offering commercial design services in an advertisement published in the Boca Design Magazine. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued, along with a request that Ms. Chapra sign an affidavit stating she will refrain from offering design services and changed her advertisement to delete all references to commercial design services. If Ms. Chapra fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Wyland L. Fowler
Construction Drawing Service, Inc.
Case Number 2004-019775
Probable cause was found that Wyland Fowler of Dunnellon, Florida is not licensed and contracted to provide signed and sealed plans for a residential project. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued, along with a request that Mr. Fowler sign an affidavit stating he will refrain from offering architectural services and that he has changed his invoices and advertisement to remove all references to architecture or words to that effect. If Mr. Fowler fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Scott Grubbs
Dimensions, LLC
Case Numbers 2003-094736 & 2003-094737
Probable cause was found that Scott Grubbs of Clermont, Florida is not licensed and is offering architectural services on his business card and website. Further, he is offering interior design services in an advertisement in the Palm Beach Post newspaper A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued, along with a request that Mr. Grubbs sign an affidavit stating he will refrain from offering architectural and interior design services and that he has changed his business card, website and advertisement to remove all references to architecture, interior design or words to that effect. If Mr. Grubbs fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Juan Hernandez
Case Number 2003-081759
Probable cause was found that Juan Hernandez of Miami, Florida is not licensed and contracted to provide architectural services for commercial property. Further, he signed the proposal using the title "Architect". A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the filing of an Administrative Complaint.
Nicholas Jammal
Jammal Engineering, Inc.
Case Number 2004-004466
Probable cause was found that Nicholas Jammal of Tampa, Florida is a licensed professional engineer but not a licensed architect. Mr. Jammal entered into a contract to provide "architectural drawings". A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the filing of an Administrative Complaint.
Roger J. Kress
Design Corp. of Southwest Florida
Case Number 2004-026328
Probable cause was found that Roger J. Kress of Punta Gorda, Florida is not licensed and contracted to provide architectural services for the Zusman Eye Center. His sign at the project site offered architectural design services and his business card refers to himself as an architectural design consultant. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued, along with the filing of an Administrative Complaint.
Jack Reese
Absolute Design, Inc.
Case Number 2003-086795
Probable cause was found that Jack Reese and Absolute Design, Inc. of Naples, Florida are not licensed and Jack Reese executed an affidavit on April 7, 2003 stating that he would no longer hold himself out as an architect or offer architectural services. In an internet advertisement for real estate investors, the firm is described as a" National Architectural Design firm" although Mr. Reese states he did not review the advertisement prior to it being posted. Mr. Reese entered into two commercial projects for conceptual/design illustrations. In a letter dated January 24, 2004, Mr. Reese admitted to providing space planning, remodeling design, consultation design and visionary design for interiors and exteriors. Further, in a letter dated June 4, 2004, he described himself as an "Architectural Illustrators/Artist". An Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.
Gregory N. Richardson
Case Number 2003-092782
Probable cause was found that Gregory Richardson of Sarasota, Florida is not licensed but the webpage for Sternberg Interiors, Inc. states that Mr. Richardson has over twenty years of experience in interior design. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued, along with a request that Mr. Richardson sign an affidavit stating he will refrain from offering interior design services and that the website will be changed deleting all references to interior design. If Mr. Richardson fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Simmons and Saray Interiors Group
Case Number 2004-001895
Probable cause was found that Simmons and Saray Interiors Group of Jupiter, Florida is not licensed and is offering "award winning architectural" services in an advertisement. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued, along with a request that an affidavit be signed stating it will refrain from offering architectural services and that it will change its advertisement deleting all references to architectural or words to that effect. If the affidavit is not returned, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Sternberg Interiors, Inc.
Jens Albiez
Case Number 2003-092760
Probable cause was found that Sternberg Interiors, Inc. of Sarasota, Florida does not have a certificate of authorization to offer or provide interior design services. On May 12, 2003, Mr. Albiez signed an affidavit stating the firm would no longer offer or provide interior design services. The firm advertised in the November 2003 issues of Design Magazine as a full service interior design studio and the advertisement referenced a website which also offers interior design services as of November 26, 2003. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.
Robin L. Wingate
Case Number 2003-085857
Probable cause was found that Robin Wingate of Lakeland, Florida is not licensed and is holding himself out as an architectural design firm and is offering commercial design services in advertisements. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with a request that Mr. Wingate sign an affidavit stating he will refrain from offering architectural and commercial design services and has changed his advertisements removing all references to architecture or words to that effect. If Mr. Wingate fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Yeckes Trache Architects
Stephen Yeckes
Case Number 2003-083746
Probable cause was found that Stephen Yeckes of North Palm Beach, Florida is a licensed architect and considered doing business as Yeckes Trache Architects and had business cards printed out but then decided to continue to operate under his individual name. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with a request that Mr. Yeckes sign an affidavit stating he will refrain from offering architectural services under the name Yeckes Trache Architects unless it becomes properly licensed. If Mr. Yeckes fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
II. Licensed Cases
Commercial Furnishings
Craig Johnson
Case No. 2003-077459
Probable Cause was found that Commercial Furnishings, was previously a licensed interior design firm with Susette Crosby acting as the qualifier. Mrs. Crosby withdrew as the qualifier on July 31, 2001. The 2003 edition of the Sprint Telephone Directory was issued in December 2002, and listed Mrs. Crosby's license number as the license number for the business. Further, the firm is offering and contracting for interior design services without a licensed interior designer on staff. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline was filed.
John E. Martin, Jr.
Decorator's Mart of Deerfield Beach
Katherine V. Martin
Case Nos. 2003-077847, 2004-021525, 2004-021520
Probable Cause was found that Decorator's Mart of Deerfield Beach Florida, does not have a certificate of authorization. A Notice and Order to Cease was issued, along with a request that an affidavit be signed stating it will no longer offer interior design services unless it becomes properly licensed. If the affidavit is not returned, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Harry Guilford Morris Architect, Inc.

Probable Cause was found that Harry Morris, a licensed architect of Greenacres, Florida, was practicing architecture on a delinquent license. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline was filed.
Fred H. Prather
Case No. 2004-028461
Probable Cause was found that Fred Prather, a licensed architect of Port Charlotte, Florida, signed and sealed plans for a commercial project that were prepared by an unlicensed draftsman. Mr. Prather did not exercise proper responsible supervisory control over the project for plans that were prepared outside of his office and the unlicensed draftsman entered into a contract with the client to provide architectural drawings. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline was filed.
