Case No. 2008-016090

 

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation imposing a fine of $5,000.00 plus costs against Architropolis Corporation and Michael Czysz. Mr. Czysz is not licensed to practice interior design and contracted to provide interior design services on two commercial projects. Further, Mr. Czysz is offering such services through a business entity without a certificate of authorization.

 

Colette Design Studio

Jurgen Muller

Case No. 2008-009436

 

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order imposing a fine of $500.00 plus costs against Colette Design Studio and Jurgen Muller. Mr. Muller is not licensed to practice interior design and is offering interior design services on its web site.

Kimerlee Dodson-Prescott

Case No. 2008-001663

 

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation imposing a fine of $5,000.00 plus costs against Designs of the Interior and Kimerlee Dodson-Prescott. Ms. Dodson-Prescott is not licensed to practice interior design and her company’s web site holds out an employee of the firm as an interior designer even though that employee is not licensed. Further, Ms. Dodson-Prescott is offering such services through a business entity without a certificate of authorization.

 

 

Carlton George Forbes

Case No. 2008-006722

 

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation imposing a fine of $2,500.00 plus costs against Carlton George Forbes. Mr. Forbes, a licensed Professional Engineer, is not licensed to practice architecture and signed and sealed plans for a residential project without the involvement of an architect. The architectural drawings were prepared by an unlicensed draftsman that entered into the contract with the client and held himself out as an architect.

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order imposing a fine of costs against JGR Drafting Services and Jerry G. Rega. Mr. Rega is not licensed to practice architecture and is offering commercial drafting services in his title block.

 

JRS Design, Inc.

Joseph R. Barna

Case No. 2007-062794

 

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order imposing a fine of $25,000.00 plus costs against JRS Design, Inc. and Joseph R. Barna. Mr. Barna is not licensed to practice architecture or interior design and entered into numerous contracts to provide both architecture and interior design services. Further, Mr. Barna is offering these services through a corporation without a certificate of authorization.

 

David Lagares

LQL Management, Inc.

Case No. 2007-043301

 

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order imposing a fine of $15,000.00 plus costs against David Lagares and LQL Management, Inc. Mr. Lagares is not licensed to practice architecture and contracted to provide architectural services for a four unit apartment building. Mr. Lagares’ web site offers interior design services. Further, Mr. Lagares is offering these services through a corporation without a certificate of authorization.

 

Douglas W. Lowe

Case No. 2007-068823

 

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation imposing a fine of $2,500.00 plus costs against Douglas W. Lowe. Mr. Lowe, a licensed Professional Engineer, is not licensed to practice architecture and signed and sealed plans for a residential project without the involvement of an architect. The architectural drawings were prepared by an unlicensed draftsman that entered into the contract with the client. The unlicensed draftsman offers architectural drafting on his title block.

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order imposing a fine of $10,000.00 plus costs against Albert D. Lynch and Albert D. Lynch & Company. Mr. Lynch is not licensed to practice interior design and contracted to provide interior design services on a residential project.

 

James T. Melvin

Case No. 2007-007048

 

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation imposing a fine of $2,500.00 plus costs and placing Mr. Melvin’s license to practice architecture on probation for a period of three years. Mr. Melvin signed and sealed drawings that were prepared by an unlicensed individual without ever meeting with the client.

 

Mounir Consul & Associates, Inc.

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation imposing a fine of $5,000.00 plus costs against Mounir Consul & Associates, Inc. and Mounir Consul. Mr. Consul is not licensed to practice architecture and is using the title “Master of Architecture”. Further, Mr. Consul is offering such services through a corporation without a certificate of authorization.

 

Steven E. Myott

Case No. 2008-038502

 

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation imposing a fine of $500.00 plus costs and completing 17 hours of continuing education against Mr. Myott’s license. Mr. Myott is a licensed architect and affirmed at renewal that he had completed the required continuing education hours. Mr. Myott was chosen for an audit of the continuing education required and has provided only 13 hours during the audit period.

 

New Age Design, Ltd

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation imposing a fine of $500.00 plus costs against New Age Design , Ltd and Anthony Mella. Mr. Mella is not licensed to practice architecture and contracted to provide architectural services for a commercial project. Further, Mr. Mella is offering such services through a business entity without a certificate of authorization.

 

Ian Neuberger

Case No. 2008-022078

 

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order imposing a fine of $5,000.00 plus costs against Ian Neuberger. Mr. Neuberger is not licensed to practice architecture and contracted to provide signed and sealed drawings for a residential project.

 

Guillermo C. Palmer

Case No. 2008-038505

 

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation imposing a fine of $500.00 plus costs and completing 17 hours of continuing education against Mr. Palmer’s license. Mr. Palmer is a licensed architect and affirmed at renewal that he had completed the required continuing education hours. Mr. Palmer was chosen for an audit of the continuing education required and has provided only 13 hours during the audit period.

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation imposing a fine of $1,500.00 plus costs against Ranson Construction, Inc. and James R. Ranson. Mr. Ranson is not licensed to practice architecture and entered into a contract to provide architectural services for a commercial project. Further, Mr. Ranson is offering such services through a corporation without a certificate of authorization.

 

Taffy L. Robinson

Taffy’s Interior

Case No. 2008-007121

 

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order imposing a fine of $2,000.00 plus costs against Taffy L. Robinson and Taffy’s Interior. Ms. Robinson is not licensed to practice interior design and according to a newspaper article, provided interior design services for a hotel project.

 

Michael Saruski

Saruski Design Studio

Case No. 2008-000747

 

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation imposing a fine of costs and placing Mr. Saruski’s license to practice interior design on probation for a period of two years. Mr. Saruski entered into a contract for a residential project and knew that the project was required to be permitted but intentionally circumvented this requirement. Further, Mr. Saruski also assisted in the employment of a contractor that was not properly licensed.

 

Ronald W. Sivitz

Sivitz Innovative Designs

Case No. 2008-016090

 

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation imposing a fine of $1,500.00 plus costs against Ronald W. Sivitz and Sivitz Innovative Designs. Mr. Sivitz is not licensed to practice architecture and contracted to provide architectural services for a medical office. Further, Mr. Sivitz’s web site offers architectural services and he is offering such services through a business entity without a certificate of authorization.

 

Susan Gale & Associates

Susan Burns

Case No. 2008-006056

 

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order imposing a fine of $500.00 plus costs against Susan Gale & Associates and Susan Burns. Ms. Burns is not licensed to practice architecture and is offering architectural services in a magazine advertisement.

 

Reves G. Timothy

Sehres & Timothy Architects, LLC

Case No. 2008-001383

 

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order imposing a fine of $20,000.00 plus costs against Reves G. Timothy and Sehres & Timothy Architects, LLC. Mr. Timothy is not licensed to practice architecture and entered into a contract specifically offering architectural services. Further, Mr. Timothy is offering these services through a business entity without a certificate of authorization.

 

Barbara Van Voast

Case No. 2008-037745

 

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order imposing a fine of $500.00 plus costs and completing 19 hours of continuing education against Barbara Van Voast’s license. Ms. Van Voast is a licensed interior designer and affirmed at renewal that she had completed the required continuing education hours. Ms. Van Voast was chosen for an audit of the continuing education required and has only provided 11 hours during the audit period.

 

Edwin Verdecia

Case No. 2008-023451

 

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order imposing a fine of $1,000.00 plus costs and completing 40 hours of continuing education and suspension until compliance against Edwin Verdecia’s license. Mr. Verdecia is a licensed architect and affirmed at renewal that he had completed the required continuing education hours. Mr. Verdecia was chosen for an audit of the continuing education required and has not provided proof of any hours during the audit period.

 

Vivian Berge Design

Case No. 2008-037021

 

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation imposing a fine of $1,000.00 plus costs against Vivian Berge Design and Vivian B. Tachdjian. Ms. Tachdjian is not licensed to practice interior design and contracted to provide interior design services on a condominium project.

 

Wenzel Grove Delineation, Inc.

Case No. 2008-019795

 

The Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design agreed to enter a final order approving a settlement stipulation imposing a fine of $2,500.00 plus costs against Wenzel Grove Delineation, Inc. and Christopher Wenzel. Mr. Wenzel is not licensed to practice architecture and contracted to provide design services for a commercial project. Further, Mr. Wenzel is offering such services through a corporation without a certificate of authorization.
