I. Unlicensed Cases
Riza N. Altan
Turquoise Consulting, Inc.
Case No. 2005-022247
Probable Cause was found that Riza N. Altan of West Palm Beach, Florida is a licensed engineering firm but not a licensed architectural firm in the State of Florida and is offering architectural services on its letterhead. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued, along with the request that Mr. Altan sign an affidavit stating he will refrain from offering architectural services and will change the letterhead deleting any references to architecture or words to that effect. If Mr. Altan fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Architectural Resources & Design
Case No. 2004-057290
Probable Cause was found that Architectural Resources Design of Naples, Florida is not licensed in the State of Florida and is offering architectural services in advertisements. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued, along with the request that Andrea Radtke sign an affidavit stating she will refrain from offering architectural services and will change the advertisement and business name deleting any references to architecture or words to that effect. If Ms. Radtke fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Backdraft Architectural Services, Inc.
Case No. 2005-013883
Probable Cause was found that Backdraft Architectural Services, Inc. of Stuart, Florida is not a licensed architectural firm in the State of Florida and its title block is offering services. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued, along with the request that Paul Robb sign an affidavit stating he will refrain from offering services as Backdraft Architectural Services, Inc. and will change the business name deleting any references to architecture or words to that effect. If Mr. Robb fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
CES Consulting Group, Inc.
Case No. 2005-024170
Probable Cause was found that CES Consulting Group, Inc. of Pompano Beach, Florida is not licensed in the State of Florida and its business card offers architectural design. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued, along with the request that Karl Soby sign an affidavit stating he will refrain from offering architectural services and will change the business card deleting any references to architecture or words to that effect. If Mr. Koby fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Coral Key Design, Inc.
Case No. 2005-007232
Probable Cause was found that Coral Key Design, Inc. of West Palm Beach, Florida is not licensed in the State of Florida and is advertising under the title architects in the yellow pages. The advertisement refers to the firm as architects. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued, along with the request that Mark Jenkins sign an affidavit stating he will refrain from offering architectural services and will change the advertisement in the yellow pages deleting any references to architecture or words to that effect. If Mr. Jenkins fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Creative Architectural Designs
Case No. 2005-024855
Probable Cause was found that Creative Architectural Designs of Royal Palm Beach, Florida is not licensed in the State of Florida and its title block is offering architectural services. The title block lists a website which also indicated that the Subjects are doing business under that name without a license. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the request that Ralph Maugeri sign an affidavit stating he will refrain from offering architectural services and will change the business name, title block and website deleting any references to architecture or words to that effect. If Mr. Maugeri fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Christie R. Deherrera
Castle Works Drafting
Case Nos. 2005-003062 & 2005-003060
Probable Cause was found that Christie R. DeHerrera and Castle Works Drafting of Port Charlotte, Florida were not licensed in the State of Florida and contracted and provided architectural services on a commercial project. The Subjects submitted exterior evaluations to the Charlotte County Community Development Department for a project known as Exquisite Carpet and Interiors. The drawings were rejected and a licensed architect was retained to complete the project. A Notice to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.
Hilda Flack
Hilda Flack Interiors
Case No. 2005-007440
Probable cause was found that Hilda Flack of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida is not licensed in the State of Florida and is offering interior design services on her website. Previously in 2001, Ms. Flack was served with a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist for offering interior design services without a certificate of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.
Charles Scott Hughes
Case No. 2005-005480
Probable Cause was found that Charles Scott Hughes of Hobe Sound, Florida is a licensed architect in Virginia but not in Florida and is offering architectural services through SH:ARC and Architecture Plus in Hobe Sound, Florida without a certificate of authorization. Mr. Hughes also contracted to provide architectural services for a school.
A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.
Hustons Office Furniture and Supplies
Case No. 2004-054895
Probable Cause was found that Hustons Office Furniture and Supplies of Stuart, Florida is not licensed in the State of Florida and is offering interior design services. Further, the firm sent a proposal to provide interior design services for a hospital. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.
Diana Lonsdale
Case No. 2004-051433
Probable Cause was found that Diana Lonsdale of Cooper City, Florida is not licensed in the State of Florida but is holding herself out as an interior designer on her business card. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued, along with the request that Ms. Lonsdale sign an affidavit stating she will refrain from holding herself out as an interior designer and will change her business card deleting any references to interior design or words to that effect. If Mr. Lonsdale fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Ames Bennett
Ames Bennett and Associates, P.A.
Case No. 2004-059998
Probable Cause was found that Ames Bennett of Palm Beach, Florida, is a licensed architect and signed and sealed plans for a residential project that were prepared by an unlicensed draftsman without ever meeting with the client. Further, the unlicensed draftsman contracted directly with the client to provide architectural services. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline was filed.
Patricia L. Crawford
Case No. 2005-019590
Probable Cause was found that Patricia Crawford of Naples, Florida is a licensed interior designer in Florida; however, Ms. Crawford failed to provide proof of completion of the core curriculum courses or pass the equivalency test of the Building Code Training Program established by Section 553.841, Florida Statutes, by May 31, 2003 or within two years after her initial licensure, whichever was later. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline was filed.
Ron Dirsmith
Case No. 2005-020458
Probable Cause was found that Ron Dirsmith of Highland Park, Illinois, is a licensed architect in Florida; however, Mr. Dirsmith failed to provide proof of completion of the core curriculum courses or pass the equivalency test of the Building Code Training Program established by Section 553.841, Florida Statutes, by May 31, 2003 or within two years after his initial licensure, whichever was later. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline was filed.
