Unlicensed Cases
Gonzalo Jean-Paul Alcantara
Miami Architect Design, Inc.
Case No. 2008-056960
Probable cause was found that Gonzalo Jean-Paul Alcantara and Miami Architect
Design, Inc. of Coconut Grove, Florida, are not licensed to practice
architecture in Florida and are using the title “interior architect”. A Notice
and Order to Cease and Desist from using the title architect was issued along
with the requirement that Mr. Alcantara sign an affidavit stating he has changed
his web site and will refrain from using such a title in the future. If Mr.
Alcantara fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking
fines will be filed.
Beachside Design Group, Inc.
Dale P. Schmultz
Case No. 2008-012807
Probable cause was found that Beachside Design Group, Inc. and Dale P.
Schmultz of Flagler, Florida are not licensed to practice architecture in
Florida and provided architectural services for a commercial project. Further,
Mr. Schmultz is offering such services through a corporation without a
certificate of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be
filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.
Collins Interiors, Inc.
Barbara Gardner
Case No. 2007-049577
Probable cause was found that Collins Interiors, Inc. and Barbara Gardner of
Longboat Key, Florida, are not licensed to practice commercial design in Florida
and are offering commercial design services on their web site. A Notice to Cease
and Desist from offering commercial design services was issued along with the
requirement that Ms. Gardner sign an affidavit stating she changed her web site
to delete any and all references to such services. If Ms. Gardner fails to
return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Corporation Construction, Inc.
Chad Hitchcock
Case No. 2008-044219
Probable cause was found that Corporation Construction, Inc. and Chad
Hitchcock of Kissimmee, Florida are not licensed to practice architecture in
Florida and contracted to provide architectural services for a commercial
project. Further, Mr. Hitchcock is offering such services through a corporation
without a certificate of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking
fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.
Mary Franks
Mary Franks Interiors
Case No. 2008-062891
Probable cause was found that Mary Franks and Mary Franks Interiors of
Jacksonville Beach, Florida, are not licensed to practice commercial design in
Florida and are offering commercial design services on her business card. A
Notice to Cease and Desist from offering interior and commercial design services
was issued along with the requirement that Ms. Franks sign an affidavit stating
she changed her business card to delete any and all references to interior and
commercial design. If Ms. Franks fails to return the affidavit, an
Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Kemble Interiors
Mimi M. McMakin
Case No. 2008-021001
Probable cause was found that Kemble Interiors and Mimi M. McMakin of Palm
Beach, Florida are not licensed to practice interior design in Florida. Ms.
McMakin was previously a licensed interior designer however her license went
null and void. Further, Ms. McMakin is offering such services through a business
entity without a certificate of authorization. An Administrative Complaint
seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be
issued.
Noble Construction & Development, Inc.
Andre E. Freyre
Case No. 2008-037678
Probable cause was found that Noble Construction & Development, Inc. and
Andre E. Freyre of Miami, Florida are not licensed to practice architecture in
Florida and contracted to provide architectural services on a commercial
project. Further, Mr. Freyre is offering such services through a corporation
without a certificate of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking
fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.
Santamaria Designs
Pilar Reyes Santamaria
Case No. 2008-044040
Probable cause was found that Santamaria Designs and Pilar Reyes Santamaria
of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in
Florida and are offering architectural services on their web site. A Notice to
Cease and Desist from offering architectural services was issued along with the
requirement that Ms. Santamaria sign an affidavit stating she changed her
advertisement to delete any and all references to interior design and
architecture. If Ms. Santamaria fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative
Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Stroop Design & Construction, Inc.
Edward C. Stroop
Case No. 2007-037357
Probable cause was found that Stroop Design & Construction, Inc. and Edward
C. Stroop of Sarasota, Florida, are not licensed to architecture in Florida and
are offering commercial design services on their web site. A Notice to Cease and
Desist from offering architectural or commercial design services was issued
along with the requirement that Mr. Stroop sign an affidavit stating he changed
his web site and will not offer such services in the future. If Mr. Stroop fails
to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be
filed.

Angelfish Group, LLC
Dwight M. Hedrich
2008-066625
Probable cause was found that Angelfish Group, LLC of Sarasota, Florida, is a
Florida licensed architectural firm and has failed to pay a citation for failing
to display its certificate of authorization number. An Administrative Complaint
seeking discipline will be filed.
Faulkner Eyo
DZN International, Inc.
Case No. 2008-015480
Probable cause was found that Faulkner Eyo of Miami, Florida, is a Florida
licensed architect and was paid to provide permit drawings, which were rejected
by the Building Department. To date, Mr. Eyo has yet to correct the plans.
Further, Mr. Eyo is offering architectural services through a corporation
without certificate of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking
discipline will be filed.
Nicole Hollant
2008-062163
Probable cause was found that Nicole Hollant of New York, NY, is a Florida
licensed architect and was chosen for an audit of the continuing education
credits claimed when she renewed her license. Ms. Hollant affirmed at renewal
that she had completed the required hours but has not provided any evidence of
continuing education during the audit period. An Administrative Complaint
seeking discipline will be filed.
Carlos F. Llanos
2007-043396
Probable cause was found that Carlos F. Llanos of Hollywood, Florida, is a
Florida licensed architect and signed and sealed drawings that were prepared by
an unlicensed draftsman without ever meeting with the client. An Administrative
Complaint seeking discipline will be filed.
Stephen F. Seitz
2008-034626
Probable cause was found that Stephen F. Seitz of Orlando, Florida, is a
Florida licensed architect and failed to properly design and construct an
addition to a residence. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline will be
filed.
Carmen Valdivia
2008-038511
Probable cause was found that Carmen Valdivia of Miami, Florida, is a Florida
licensed architect and was chosen for an audit of the continuing education
credits claimed when she renewed her license. Ms. Valdivia affirmed at renewal
that she had completed the required hours but has only provided 11.5 hours of
continuing education during the audit period. An Administrative Complaint
seeking discipline will be filed.
David K. Weinschreider
2008-037737
Probable cause was found that David K. Weinschreider of Chicago, IL, is a
Florida licensed architect and was chosen for an audit of the continuing
education credits claimed when he renewed his license. Mr. Weinschreider
affirmed at renewal that he had completed the required hours but has only
provided 18.5 hours of continuing education during the audit period. An
Administrative Complaint seeking discipline will be filed.
