Case No. 2006-010030
Probable cause
was found that John Adkerson Abney is not licensed to practice architecture in
Florida. Mr. Abney’s father is a licensed architect. Mr. Abney took his
father’s architectural seal and sealed revisions to a residential project.
Further, Mr. Abney is offering architectural services through a business entity
without a certificate of authorization. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist
was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Aldon C. Adams
Adams & Adams, Inc.
Case No. 2007-030848
Probable cause
was found that Aldon C. Adams of Palatka, Florida, is not licensed to practice
architecture in Florida and contracted to provide architectural services for a
church. The proposal specifically offers architectural services. Further, Mr.
Adams is offering these services through a corporation without a certificate of
authorization.
A Notice and
Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking
fines was filed.
Kimberlee Sue

Kimberlee Bates Interior Designs
Case No. 2007-025316
Probable cause
was found that Kimberlee Sue Bates of Tampa, Florida, is not licensed to
practice interior design in Florida and is doing business as Kimberlee Bates
Interior Designs. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an
Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.

Symmetry Design Studio, Inc.
Case No. 2007-006005
Probable cause
was found that Yoli Cavalletti of Miami Shores, Florida, is not licensed to
practice interior design in Florida and is offering interior design services on
its web site. Investigation revealed that Mr. Cavalletti has performed interior
design services on a commercial project. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist
was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.
Charles H. Cox
Charles H. Cox Interior Design & Antiques
Case No. 2007-025321
Probable cause
was found that Charles H. Cox of Tampa, Florida, is not licensed to practice
interior design in Florida and is doing business as Charles H. Cox Interior
Design & Antiques. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an
Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.
Jeff Dotson
Dotson Drafting, Inc.
Case No. 2007-026926
Probable cause
was found that Jeff Dotson of Bunnell, Florida, is not licensed to practice
architecture in Florida and this is a second offense. The first case involved
Mr. Dotson offering architectural services and he has changed his advertisement
to remove all such references. Mr. Dotson’s new advertisement offers commercial
drafting services under the yellow page heading “Architect’s Support Services”.
It appears Mr. Dotson is attempting to market his drafting services to licensed
architects. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist from offering commercial
design services was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Dotson sign an
affidavit stating it has changed its advertisement, and will not offer such
services in the future. If Mr. Dotson fails to return the affidavit, an
Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Eunice J.
Borden Interior Design, Inc.
Eunice J. Borden
Case No. 2007-020990
Probable cause
was found that Eunice J. Borden Interior Design, Inc. of Sarasota, Florida, is
not licensed to practice interior design in Florida. Ms. Borden contracted to
provide interior design services for a college and is doing business as Eunice
J. Borden Interior Design, Inc. Ms. Borden was previously licensed, however,
her license expired on February 28, 1993. A Notice and Order to Cease and
Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.
Frank J. Holas
Holas and Associates, Inc.
Case No. 2007-030870
Probable cause
was found that Frank J. Holas of Jacksonville, Florida, is not licensed to
practice architecture in Florida. Mr. Holas is a licensed Professional Engineer
and signed and sealed plans for a church. The drawings were prepared by an
unlicensed draftsman that entered into a contract with the client to perform
architectural services. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and
an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.

Case No. 2007-025339
Probable cause
was found that Farlyn R. Helton of Brandon, Florida, is not licensed to practice
interior design in Florida and is doing business as Interior Designs by Farlyn,
Inc. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative
Complaint seeking fines was filed.

Michelle Irizarry
J. Designs
Case No. 2007-027189
Probable cause
was found that Jennifer Michelle Irizarry of Ocala, Florida, is not licensed to
practice interior design in Florida and contracted to provide interior design
services on a commercial project. Ms. Irizarry does not hold herself out as an
interior designer, however, the contract is to perform design services for a
doctor’s office. Further, Ms. Irizarry also has an advertisement in which she
offers “architectural interiors” and is offering these services though a
business entity without a certificate of authorization. This is a second
offense. A Notice to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative
Complaint seeking fines was filed.

Jackson
Jackson Enterprises
Case No. 2007-027843
Probable cause
was found that Louis D. Jackson of Tampa, Florida, is not licensed to practice
architecture in Florida and contracted to provide architectural services for a
church. Mr. Jackson’s business card offers architectural design. Further, Mr.
Jackson is offering these services through a fictitious name without a
certificate of authorization. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued
and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.

Koontz Residential Design
Case No. 2007-030004
Probable cause
was found that John T. Koontz of Summerfield, Florida, is not licensed to
practice architecture in Florida and is offering architectural services on its
business card and is advertising under the architect heading of the yellow
pages. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist from offering architectural
services was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Koontz sign an affidavit
stating it has changed its advertisements, and will not offer such services in
the future. If Mr. Koontz fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative
Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Case No. 2007-025613
Probable cause
was found that Caroline B. Rogow of Margate, Florida, is not licensed to
practice interior design in Florida and is doing business as Panache Interior
Design, Inc. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an
Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.
Jose Luis
Perdomo
Case No. 2007-031152
Probable cause
was found that Jose Luis Perdomo of Miami, Florida, is not licensed to practice
architecture in Florida. Mr. Perdomo was previously licensed, however, his
license went delinquent on March 1, 2005, and then into a null and void status
on March 1, 2007. Mr. Perdomo practiced architecture, held himself out as an
architect and used his delinquent license number on September 9, 2006. An
Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.

Scholten
Scholten Construction, Inc.
Case No. 2007-023223
Probable cause
was found that Thomas M. Scholten of Naples, Florida, is not licensed to
practice architecture in Florida, however, he is a licensed general contractor.
Mr. Scholten contracted to provide design drawings for a commercial project and
is offering these services through a corporation without a certificate of
authorization.

James R. Abney
Case No. 2006-010045
Probable cause
was found that James R. Abney of Litchfield Park, Arizona, is a licensed
architect in Florida whose son used his architectural seal to seal drawings for
a residential property. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline was
filed.
Jennifer
Ziefel
Angela Neel Interiors, Inc.
Case No. 2007-030076
Probable cause
was found that Jennifer Ziefel of Winter Park, Florida, is not licensed to
practice interior design in Florida. The web site of Ms. Ziefel’s employer
holds her out as an interior designer. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist
from using the title interior designer was issued along with the requirement
that Ms. Neel sign an affidavit stating she has changed the website to delete
all references to interior design. If Ms. Ziefel fails to return the affidavit,
an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
