Stephan Alpert
Case No. 2006-051104 

Probable cause was found that Stephan Alpert, of Clearwater, Florida is not licensed to practice interior designer in Florida and he is holding himself out as an interior designer.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Alpert sign an affidavit stating he will refrain from holding himself out as an interior designer or words to that effect.  If Mr. Alpert fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

 

Architectural Drawings LTD Co.
David R. Young
Case No. 2006-051049 

Probable cause was found that Architectural Drawings LTD Co., of Clearwater, Florida is not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and Mr. Young is doing business as Architectural Drawings LTD Co. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Young sign an affidavit stating he will refrain from using the title architectural and will change his business name deleting any references to architectural or words to that effect.  If Mr. Young fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Case No. 2006-006667 

Probable Cause was found that Brian Begley of Jacksonville, Florida is not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and contracted to provide complete a food service plan and service plan and specifications to be submitted to the building department for two restaurants.  Further, Mr. Begley is offering such services through a business entity without a certificate of authorization.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.



Behavior Architects, Inc.

Case No. 2006-051356 

Probable cause was found that Behavior Architects, Inc., of Deland, Florida is not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and is using the title architects in its business name.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Ms. Titus sign an affidavit stating she will refrain from offering architectural services and will change her business name deleting any references to architect or words to that effect.  If Ms. Titus fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

 

Cynthia Bodnar
Case No. 2006-052683 

Probable cause was found that Cynthia Bodnar, of Lake Park, Florida is not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and she is holding herself out as an interior designer on her application for licensure.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Ms. Bodnar sign an affidavit stating she will refrain from holding herself out as an interior designer or words to that effect until she is properly licensed.  If Ms. Bodnar fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Case No. 2006-041947 

Probable Cause was found that Terrence Brisson of Fort Pierce, Florida is not licensed  to  to practice architecture and prepared drawings for an apartment building.  Mr. Brisson presented the drawings to the Architectural Review Committee of the City of Pompano Beach.  Further, Mr. Brisson is offering such services through a business entity without a certificate of authorization.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

 

Roy and Christine Brown

Case Nos. 2006-038683 & 2006-038673 

Probable cause was found that Roy and Christine Brown of Delray Beach, Florida are not licensed to practice interior designer in Florida and are offering interior design services in a magazine advertisement.  Further, Mr. and Mrs. Brown’s web site offers commercial design services.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Brown sign an affidavit stating they will refrain from offering interior design, commercial design services or words to that effect.  Further, they must change their advertisement and website.  If Mr. Brown fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

 

Shawn P. Brown
Innovative Architectural-Planning Group, Inc.
Case No. 2006-054873 

Probable Cause was found that Shawn Brown of Gainesville, Florida is not licensed as an architect and contracted to provide architectural services for a commercial project.  Further, Mr. Brown held himself out as an architect and is offering such services through a corporation without a certificate of authorization.

Case Nos. 2006-051447 & 2006-051438 

Probable cause was found that Priscilla Castellano of Tampa, Florida is not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and is offering interior design, commercial design and space planning.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Ms. Castellano sign an affidavit stating she will refrain from offering interior design, commercial design, space planning or words to that effect.  If Ms. Castellano fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

 

Dan Craft
Case No. 2006-058745 

Probable Cause was found that Dan Craft of Valrico, Florida is not licensed to practice architecture and contracted to provide signed and sealed drawings for a residence.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed. 

 

Clive Christian Gulf Coast LLC

Case Nos. 2006-060591 & 2006-060581 

Probable cause was found that Clive Christian Gulf Coast LLC of Estero, Florida is not licensed to practice interior design or architecture in Florida and is offering interior design services in an advertisement in the August 2006 edition of the Florida Magazine.  Further, the firm’s web site is offering architectural services.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Ellis sign an affidavit stating he will refrain from offering interior design or architectural services and will change his advertisement and web sites to delete any references to such services.  If Mr. Ellis fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Probable Cause was found that Sherry Davidson of Daytona Beach, Florida is not licensed to practice interior design and made a proposal to provide design services for the common area of a condominium complex. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.

Probable Cause was found that David Davis of Port Orange, Florida is not licensed to practice interior design but made a proposal to provide design services for a common area in a condominium complex. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.

Probable cause was found that Complete Development Construction Group, Inc., of Brandon, Florida is not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and is offering such services on its web site.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Koithahn sign an affidavit stating he will refrain from offering architectural services and will change his website deleting any references to such services.  If Mr. Koithahn fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Probable cause was found that Construction Plans Unlimited, of Gainesville, Florida is not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and is offering such services on a post card an on its website.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Fitzpatrick sign an affidavit stating the firm will refrain from offering architectural services and will change the advertising deleting any references to such services.  If Mr. Fitzpatrick fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Probable Cause was found that D’Caires Design Group of Miami, Florida is not licensed to practice interior design and is offering such services in the Miami Home and Décor Magaine.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Ms. De Caires sign an affidavit stating the firm will refrain from offering interior design services and she will change their advertisement deleting any references to such services.  If Ms. De Caires fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Probable Cause was found that Designs by Virginia of Ocala, Florida is not licensed to practice interior design and is listed under the interior design section in the Ocala yellow pages.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Ms. Gray sign an affidavit stating the firm will refrain from offering interior design services and she will change her advertisement deleting any references to such services.  If Ms. Gray fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Probable Cause was found that Designs of the Interior of Jacksonville, Florida  is not licensed to practice interior design and is offering such services on its web page.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Ms. Dodson-Prescott sign an affidavit stating the firm will refrain from offering interior design services and she will change her webpage deleting any references to such services.  If Ms. Dodson-Prescott fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Case No. 2006-041673 

Probable Cause was found that Designs Unlimited, USA of Tallahassee, Florida is not licensed to practice interior design and is offering interior design services and space planning on an advertising flyer and on its web site. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Ms. McHaffie sign an affidavit stating the firm will refrain from offering interior design services and space planning.  Further, she will change her advertising and web site deleting any references to such services.  If Ms. McHaffie fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Probable Cause was found that Diaz & Russell Architects & Assoc. Corp. of Pembroke Pines, Florida is not licensed to practice interior design or architecture and is offering such services on its web site. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Diaz sign an affidavit stating the firm will refrain from offering interior design services and architectural services.  Further, he will change the web site deleting any references to such services.  If Mr. Diaz fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

 

Donald Doran

Probable Cause was found that Donald Doran of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida is a certified general contractor but is not licensed to practice architecture.  Mr. Doran used the seal of a licensed architect to submit drawings for permitting without the architect’s permission.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.

Probable Cause was found that Ray Evans of Jacksonville, Florida is not licensed to practice architecture and is holding himself out as an architect on his business card.. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Evans sign an affidavit stating he will refrain from using the title architect and will change his business card deleting any references to such services.  If Mr. Evans fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Probable Cause was found that Ramon Fabregat of Miami, Florida is not licensed to practice architecture and contracted to provide architectural services for a residential project.  Further, Mr. Fabregat held himself out as an architect to the client and is offering such services through a corporation without a certificate of authorization.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.

 

Carlos Fernandez
T Matrix Group, Inc.
Case No. 2006-036025 

Probable Cause was found that Carlos Fernandez of Coral Gables, Florida is not licensed to practice architecture and contracted to provide architectural services for a residential project.  Mr. Fernandez used his brother’s firm which is licensed in the contract but did so without his brother’s knowledge.  Mr. Fernandez’ brother stated that he had no authority to enter such contracts.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.

Probable Cause was found that Florida Redesign, LLC of Ocala, Florida is not licensed to practice interior design and is listed under the interior design section in the Ocala yellow pages. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Ms. Sperber sign an affidavit stating the firm will refrain from offering interior design services.  Further, she will change the advertising deleting any references to such services.  If Ms. Sperber fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Probable Cause was found that Mercedes Gangi of Boca Raton, Florida is not licensed to practice interior design or architecture and is offering such services in a magazine advertisement and on its web page. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Ms. Gangi sign an affidavit she will refrain from offering interior design and architectural services.  Further, she will change her advertisements deleting any references to such services.  If Ms. Gangi fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

 

Fernando Gomez-Pina
Case No. 2006-015015

Probable Cause was found that Fernando Gomez-Pina of Coral Gables, Florida is a licensed professional engineer but not licensed to practice architecture.  Mr. Gomez-Pina signed and sealed plans for a residential renovation.  The drawings were prepared by an unlicensed draftsman that entered into a contract with the client to perform architectural services.   A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.

 

Billie C. Haffey
Case No. 2006-060000 

Probable Cause was found that Billie Haffey of Hobe Sound, Florida is not licensed to practice interior design and is offering such services in an email. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Ms. Haffey sign an affidavit stating she will refrain from offering interior design services.  If Ms. Haffey fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

 

Richard T. High, II
Case No. 2006-055530 

Probable Cause was found that Richard High of West Palm Beach, Florida was formerly a licensed architect but his license went null and void on February 28, 1999.  Mr. High continues to hold himself out as an architect before the City of West Palm Beach Planning Board Meeting.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Mr. High sign an affidavit stating he will refrain from holding himself out as an architect and that he will no longer use that title in the future.  If Mr. High fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Probable Cause was found that Angel Moreno of Jacksonville, Florida is not licensed to practice architecture but contracted to provide architectural services and held herself out as an architect.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

 

Earl G. Nelson
Case No. 2006-050282 

Probable Cause was found that Earl Nelson of Lauderdale Lakes, Florida was previously a licensed architect.  Mr. Nelson’s license went delinquent in March 1993 and then went into a null and void status in March 1995.  The complaint was based upon a case in which Mr. Nelson practiced architecture, held himself out as an architect and used his null and void license number.

Probable Cause was found that New Home Design Gallery of Ocala, Florida is not licensed to practice interior design and is offering such services under the interior design section of the Ocala yellow pages.  Mr. Pillsbury was previously disciplined for practicing architecture without a license.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.

Probable Cause was found that Nerie Pagan of Boca Raton, Florida is not licensed to practice architecture and contracted to provide architectural services for a residential project.  Further, Ms. Pagan is offering such services through a business entity without a certificate of authorization.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.

Probable Cause was found that The Design Studio of Jacksonville Beach, Florida is not licensed to practice interior design and is offering such services in an advertisement in the Florida Design Magazine.  The advertisement also offers commercial design services.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.

Probable Cause was found that Vernon Thompson of Orlando, Florida is not licensed to practice architecture and contracted to provide architectural services for a residential project.  Mr. Thompson held himself out as an architect and is offering such services through a business entity without a certificate of authorization.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.

 

Tres Chic, Inc.
Morris Danielle
Case No. 2006-051205

Probable Cause was found that Tres Chic, Inc. of Ocala, Florida is not licensed to practice interior design and is listed under the interior design section in the Ocala yellow pages. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Ms. Danielle sign an affidavit stating she will refrain from offering interior design services or words to that effect and will change her advertisement.  If Ms. Danielle fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Probable Cause was found that Gail Vannier-Coton of Orlando, Florida is not licensed to practice interior design and is offering such services and in a newsletter and on its website.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Ms. Vannier-Coton sign an affidavit stating she will refrain from offering interior design services or words to that effect and will change her newsletter and webpage.  If Ms. Vannier-Coton fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

 

Carl A. Vasile

Case No. 2006-060115 

Probable Cause was found that Carl Vasile of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida is not licensed to practice interior design and is offering such services in an advertisement. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Vasile sign an affidavit stating he will refrain from offering interior design services or words to that effect and will change his advertisement.  If Mr. Vasile fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

 

Eudaldo R. Verdecia
Eudaldo A. Verdcia Architect, P.A.
Case No. 2006-041918 

Probable Cause was found that Eudaldo Verdecia of Hialeah, Florida is not licensed to practice architecture and contract to provide such services for a residential project.  Mr. Verdecia held himself out as an architect.  Further, Mr. Verdecia is offering such services through a professional association without a certificate of authorization.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.

 

Tonya Whitaker
Case No. 2006-066039 

Probable Cause was found that Tonya Whitaker of Miramar Beach, Florida is not licensed to practice interior design but used the title interior designer on her application for licensure.  A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Ms. Whitaker sign an affidavit stating she will refrain from using the title interior designer until she becomes properly licensed.  If Ms. Whitaker fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

 

Wholesale Lighting, Inc.
Rose Ann Tornatore
Case No. 2006-052768 

Probable Cause was found that Wholesale Lighting, Inc. of Daytona Beach, Florida is not licensed to practice interior design and is offering interior design services in the Flagler/Palm Coast newspaper. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Ms. Tornatore sign an affidavit stating she will refrain from offering interior design services and will change her advertisement.  If Ms. Tornatore fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

 

Woodsman Kitchen & Floors, Inc.
Richard S. Woods
Case No. 2006-002423 

Probable Cause was found that Woodsman Kitchen & Floors, Inc. of Jacksonville, Florida is not licensed to practice interior design and is offering such services on its website. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Woods sign an affidavit stating he will refrain from offering interior design services or words to that effect and will change the web page.  If Mr. Woods fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Building Management Systems, Inc.
Case No. 2006-045535

Probable Cause was found that Building Management Systems, Inc. of Melbourne, Florida, a licensed architectural firm in the State of Florida, violated chapter 481, Florida Statutes.  The firm no longer employs a licensed architect. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline was filed.

 

Mark A. Hobson
Hobson Studio & Studio 7 Architects, Inc.
Case Nos. 2006-044355 & 2006-052455

Probable Cause was found that Mark A. Hobson of Ft. Myers, Florida, a licensed architect in the State of Florida, violated chapter 481, Florida Statutes.  Mr. Hobson abandoned a residential project and prepared plans that were not sufficiently detailed.  Mr. Hobson is offering architectural services through a business entity without a certificate of authorization and his letterhead does not include his license number.  This matter was reviewed by the board’s expert, Jerry Hicks, who determined the above violations did occur. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline was filed.

 

Norman Palmer
Case No. 2006-054876

Probable Cause was found that Norman Palmer of Newberry, Florida, a licensed architect in the State of Florida, violated chapter 481, Florida Statutes.  Mr. Palmer signed and sealed drawing prepared by an unlicensed individual without ever meeting with the clients.  The contract was entered into by the unlicensed individual and Mr. Palmer was paid directly by an unlicensed individual.  An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline was filed.
