Unlicensed Cases

Case No. 2008-040473
Probable cause was found that James D. Allen and J.D. Allen & Associates of
Naples, Florida are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and
contracted to provide architectural services on a commercial project. Further,
Mr. Allen is offering such services through a corporation without a certificate
of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a
Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.
Amy Interiors of Florida, Inc.
Duane Amy
Case No. 2008-044125
Probable cause was found that Amy Interiors of Florida, Inc. and Duane Amy of
Longwood, Florida are not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and
offering interior design services on its web site. Further, Mr. Duane is
offering such services through a business entity without a certificate of
authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a
Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.
Angel’s Architectural Builders, Inc.
Angel Pintado
Case No. 2008-032937
Probable cause was found that Angel’s Architectural Builders, Inc. and Angel
Pintado of Tampa, Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida
and are doing business as Angel’s Architectural Builders, Inc. A Notice and
Order to Cease and Desist from offering architectural services was issued along
with the requirement that Mr. Pintado sign an affidavit stating he has changed
his business name and will refrain from offering such services in the future. If
Mr. Pintado fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking
fines will be filed.
Beautyberries Fine Interiors, Inc.
Bonnie Palma
Case No. 2008-044042
Probable cause was found that Beautyberries Fine Interiors, Inc. and Bonnie
Palma of Merritt Island, Florida are not licensed to practice interior design in
Florida and contracted to provide interior design services on a residential
remolding project. Further, Ms. Palma is offering such services through a
corporation without a certificate of authorization. An Administrative Complaint
seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be
issued.
Behar Design Associates, Inc.
Jordan Behar
Case No. 2008-047831
Probable cause was found that Behar Design Associates, Inc. and Jordan Behar
of Clearwater, Florida are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and
prepared a proposal to provide architectural services for a commercial project.
Further, Ms. Behar is offering such services through a corporation without a
certificate of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be
filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.
Harold Bergsten
Case No. 2008-040441
Probable cause was found that Harold Bergsten of Orlando, Florida is not
licensed to practice architecture in Florida. Mr. Bergsten is a Professional
Engineer and signed and sealed plans for a commercial project without the
involvement of an architect. The architectural drawings were prepared by an
unlicensed draftsman that had the contract with the owner. An Administrative
Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Buildings by Design, LLC
John S. Schneeman
Case No. 2008-050002
Probable cause was found that Buildings by Design, LLC and John S. Schneeman
of Lake Mary, Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and
are offering signed and sealed plans. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist
from offering architectural services was issued along with the requirement that
Mr. Schneeman sign an affidavit stating he has changed his web site to delete
all references to architectural and will refrain from offering such services in
the future. If Mr. Schneeman fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative
Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Mark Dalton
Case No. 2008-043595
Probable cause was found that Mark Dalton of Sarasota, Florida, is not
licensed in Florida and is offering commercial design services on his web site.
A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist from offering commercial design services
was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Dalton sign an affidavit stating
he has changed his web site and will no longer offer such services in the
future. If Mr. Dalton fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint
seeking fines will be filed.

Probable cause was found that Design Group West and Glenn Midnet of Naples,
Florida are not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and are offering
interior design services through a corporation without a certificate of

Probable cause was found that Devonshire Properties, Inc. and Neil Layton of
Tampa, Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and are
offering architectural services on its web site. A Notice and Order to Cease and
Desist from offering architectural services was issued along with the
requirement that Mr. Layton sign an affidavit stating he has changed his web
site and will no longer offer such services in the future. If Mr. Layton fails

Probable cause was found that Florida REN, LLC and Kevin Burke of Palm Beach
Gardens, Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and are
offering architectural services on its web site. A Notice and Order to Cease and
Desist from offering architectural services was issued along with the
requirement that Mr. Burke sign an affidavit stating he has changed his web site
and to delete all references to such services. If Mr. Burke fails to return the
affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Fernando R. Gomez-Pina
Case No. 2008-051730
Probable cause was found that Fernando R. Gomez-Pina of Coral Gables, Florida
is not licensed to practice architecture in Florida. Mr. Gomez-Pina is a
licensed Professional Engineer and signed and sealed plans for a residential
project without the involvement of an architect. The architectural drawings were
prepared by an unlicensed draftsman that entered into a contract with the client
and held himself out as an architect. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines
will be filed.

Probable cause was found that Hugh Griffith and Hugh Griffith Design of
Merritt Island, Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida
and are provided design services for a commercial project. A Notice and Order to
Cease and Desist from offering architectural services was issued along with the
requirement that Mr. Griffith sign an affidavit stating he will no longer
provide commercial design services. If Mr. Griffith fails to return the
affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Probable cause was found that IGK Enterprises, Inc. and Gregory Kohn of
Hollywood, Florida are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and
contracted to provide architectural services for a residential project. Further,
Mr. Kohn is offering these services through a corporation without a certificate
of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a
Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

are offering both architectural services on its web site. A Notice and Order to

requirement that Ms. Korn sign an affidavit stating she has changed her web site
and will no longer offer such services in the future. If Ms. Korn fails to

Probable cause was found that Mathew W. Maddox and Maddox Architectural
Drafting & Design Services of St. Cloud, Florida, are not licensed to practice
architecture in Florida and are offering architectural services in the yellow
pages. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist from offering architectural
services was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Maddox sign an affidavit
stating he has changed his advertisements and will no longer offer such services
in the future. If Mr. Maddox fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative
Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Probable cause was found that SB Architects, Inc. and John F. Eller of San
Francisco, California are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and
are offering architectural services without a certificate of authorization on
its web site. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Ronald W. Sivitz
Sivitz Innovative Designs, P.A.
Case No. 2008-027155
Probable cause was found that Ronald W. Sivitz and Sivitz Innovative, P.A.
Designs of Sarasota, Florida are not licensed to practice architecture in
Florida and contracted to provide architectural services for a medical office.
Further, Mr. Sivitz is offering these services through a business entity without
a certificate of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will
be filed.

Kingsland, Georgia, are not licensed in Florida and are offering commercial
design services in an advertisement. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist from
offering these services was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Rodgers
sign an affidavit stating he has changed his advertisement to delete all
references to commercial design. If Mr. Rodgers fails to return the affidavit,

services was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Tilford sign an
affidavit stating he has changed his advertisements and will no longer offer
such services in the future. If Mr. Tilford fails to return the affidavit, an

Probable cause was found that Mario R. Zamora of Miami, Florida, is not
licensed to practice architecture in Florida and is offering architectural
services on his vehicle. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist from offering
architectural services was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Zamora
sign an affidavit stating he has changed his advertisements and will no longer
offer such services in the future. If Mr. Zamora fails to return the affidavit,
an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
II. Licensed Cases
James P. Colmenares
Case No. 2008-0101747
Probable cause was found that James P. Colmenares of Cape Coral, Florida, is
a Florida licensed architect and was chosen for an audit of the continuing
education credits claimed when he renewed his license. Mr. Comlenares affirmed
at renewal that he had completed the required hours but has only provided 14
hours of continuing education during the audit period. Further Mr. Colmenares
has failed to comply with a Final Order that was entered on April 18, 2008. An
Administrative Complaint seeking discipline will be filed.
Michael Saruski
Saruski Design Studio, Inc.
Case No. 2008-038502
Probable cause was found that Michael Saruski of Miami, Florida, is a Florida
licensed interior designer and entered into a contract for a residential project
knowing that the project was required to be permitted but intentionally
circumvented this requirement. Further, Mr. Saruski also assisted in the
employment of a contractor that was not properly licensed. An Administrative
Complaint seeking discipline will be filed.
