Probable cause was found that Michele Angelo of Manitou Springs, Co., is practicing interior design in Florida with an expired license. The firm, MLA Designs, Inc., is offering interior design services under a corporate or fictitious entity without a certificate of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Architex Design, Inc.
Terry L. Lessard
Case No. 2009-034009
Probable cause was found that Architex Design, Inc. and Terry L. Lessard of Delray Beach, FL, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and are offering architectural services. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist from offering architectural services was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Lessard sign an affidavit stating he will not offer architectural services until properly licensed. If Mr. Lessard fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Probable cause was found that Raja Buchanan and Buchanan P.E. Consulting, Inc. of Margate, FL, are not licensed to practice architecture or interior design in Florida and is an engineering firm that is offering architectural services and interior design services without a licensed architect, a licensed interior designer, or a certificate of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Probable cause was found that C. Brett Carter Enterprises and Brett Carter of Fernandina Beach, FL, are not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and are offering commercial interior design services. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

Probable cause was found that George Coon, Inc. and George Coon of Apalachicola, FL, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and are offering architectural services and prepared initial drawings for the renovation of the Holy Family School. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist from offering architectural services was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Coon sign an affidavit stating he will not offer architectural services until properly licensed. If Mr. Coon fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Probable cause was found that CPS, Inc. and William E. Allison of Tallahassee, FL, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and entered into a contract to provide architectural services for a commercial project. Further, Mr. Allison is offering these services through a corporation without a certificate of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Probable cause was found that LYC Architectural Designs and Lizardo M. Cesti of West Palm Beach, FL, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and are offering architectural services. If Mr. Cesti fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Probable cause was found that Mel Percy and Architectural Drafting & Residential Design of Lake Wales, FL, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and are offering architectural services. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist from offering architectural services was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Percy sign an affidavit stating he will not offer architectural services until properly licensed. If Mr. Percy fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Probable cause was found that SW3 Consultants, Inc. and Cheree Roberts of Fort Lauderdale, FL, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and for a residential project and is using the title “Architect”. Further, Ms. Roberts is offering these services through a corporation without a corporation of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

Probable cause was found that Vernon J. Thompson of Apopka, FL, is not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and held himself out as an architect at a meeting of the City Commission. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
James W. Jones
Case No. 2009-041613
Probable cause was found that James W. Jones of Tallahassee, Florida, a Florida licensed architect, signed and sealed plans for a commercial that were prepared by an unlicensed draftsman. Further, Mr. Jones has been unable to provide the proper documentation for signing and sealing drawings prepared outside of his office. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline will be filed.

Mr. Ledo was chosen for the audit and has provided only 2 hours of continuing education during the audit period. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline will be filed.
