Case No. 2007-013289
Probable cause
was found that Berlin Architectural Drafting, Inc. and Gregory Berlin of Tampa,
Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida. Mr. Berlin is
doing business as Berlin Architectural Drafting, Inc. A Notice and Order to
Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Berlin sign an
affidavit stating he will refrain from offering architectural services and he
will change his business name deleting any references to architectural or words
to that effect. If Mr. Berlin fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative
Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Birch-Reeder
Lifestyle Interiors, Inc.
Case No. 2007-022757
Probable cause
was found that Holly Birch-Reeder of Jacksonville, Florida, is not licensed to
practice architecture in Florida and is offering space planning and commercial
design services in an advertisement in the Jacksonville Home Magazine. Further,
Ms. Birch-Reeder’s web site offers architectural detailing. A Notice and Order
to Cease and Desist was issued along with the requirement that Ms. Birch-Reeder
sign an affidavit stating she will refrain from offering architectural services
and she will change the advertisement and her web site deleting any references
to architecture or words to that effect. If Ms. Birch-Reeder fails to return
the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Coastal
Florida Interior Design
Anne M. Juliano
Case No. 2006-042314
Probable cause
was found that Coastal Florida Interior Design of Sarasota, Florida is not
licensed to practice interior design in Florida and is doing business as Coastal
Florida Interior Design. Further, the firm is offering interior design services
in an advertisement in the SRQ magazine and on their web site. A Notice and
Order to Cease and Desist was issued but Ms. Juliano failed to return the
affidavit. This matter was resubmitted to the Probable Cause Panel and an
Administrative Complaint was filed.
Betty Cordle
Yacht Décor, Inc.
Case No. 2007-006284
Probable cause
was found that Betty Cordle of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, is not licensed to
practice interior design in Florida and is offering such services on her web
site. Ms. Cordle responded to the investigation but as of the date the case was
presented to the Probable Cause Panel, the web site had not changed. A Notice
and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking
fines was filed.
John J. Crum
The Crum Design Group
Case No. 2007-014017
Probable cause
was found that John Crum of Jacksonville, Florida, is not licensed to practice
architecture in Florida and is offering commercial design services on a business
card. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the
requirement that Mr. Crum sign an affidavit stating he will refrain from
offering architectural services and will change his business card deleting any
references to such services. If Mr. Crum fails to return the affidavit, an
Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Oscar Darias
Architectural Design & Planning
Case No. 2007-004336
Probable cause
was found that Oscar Darias of Key Biscayne, Florida, is not licensed to
practice architecture in Florida and contracted to provide signed and sealed
drawings for a residential project. Mr. Darias’ business card offers
architectural services and he is offering these services through a business
entity without a certificate of authorization. A Notice and Order to Cease and
Desist was filed and an Administrative Complaint seeking files was filed.
Jimmy M. Dean
JD Design Drafting, Inc.
Case No. 2007-010570
Probable cause
was found that Jimmy Dean of Naples, Florida, is not licensed to practice
architecture in Florida and contracted to provide signed and sealed drawings for
a commercial hair salon. Further, Mr. Dean is offering such services through a
corporation without a certificate of authorization. A Notice and Order to Cease
and Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint was filed.

Case No. 2007-006460
Probable cause
was found that Ben Ferguson of Hobe Sound, Florida, is not licensed to practice
architecture in Florida and is doing business as Ferguson Architectural Design &
Drafting Services. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with
the requirement that Mr. Ferguson sign an affidavit stating he will refrain from
offering architectural services and will change his business name deleting any
references to such services. If Mr. Ferguson fails to return the affidavit, an
Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Probable cause
was found that Betty Leyva of Tampa, Florida is not licensed to practice
interior design in Florida and is doing business as Betty’s Home Interior
Design. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative
Complaint seeking fines was filed.

Probable cause
was found that Michael McEachron of Lauderhill, Florida, is not licensed to
practice architecture in Florida and entered into a contract to provide signed
and sealed drawings for a residential project. A Notice and Order to Cease and
Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.

Probable cause
was found that Gabriela Mozezcynska of Warm Mineral Springs, Florida, is not
licensed to practice architecture in Florida and is offering commercial design
services on a business card. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued
along with the requirement that Ms. Mozezcynska sign an affidavit stating she
will refrain from offering architectural, commercial design services or words to
that effect. If Ms. Mozezcynska fails to return the affidavit, an
Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

practice interior design in Florida and is offering interior design services on
its invoices. Further, the firm’s web site offers interior redesign services
and such services are being offered through a business entity without a
certificate of authorization. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued
and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.

was found that Pamela Niemann of Winter Park, Florida, is not licensed to
practice interior Design in Florida and contracted to provide interior design
services on a commercial project. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was
issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.

Probable cause
was found that Joseph Pubilones of Palm Beach, Florida, is not licensed to
practice architecture in Florida and is offering space planning and interior
architecture. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued along with the
requirement that Mr. Pubilones sign an affidavit stating he changed his
website. If Mr. Publiones fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative
Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Probable cause
was found that Anthony Reale of St. Petersburg, Florida, is not licensed to
practice architecture in Florida and prepared drawings for a commercial
project. Mr. Reale’s title block on the drawings offers architectural services
and he is offering such services through an LLC without a certificate of
authorization. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an
Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.

Case No. 2007-016671
Probable cause
was found that Richard Plumer Design, Inc. of West Palm Beach, Florida, is not
licensed to practice interior design in Florida and states on its web site that
it is Florida’s longest established interior design firm. The web site also
lists numerous commercial projects. The firm was previously licensed; however,
the license has been null and void since 1993. Services are being offered
through a business entity without a certificate of authorization. A Notice and
Order to Cease and Desist was issued and an Administrative Complaint seeking
fines was filed.
Anne Rue
Anne Rue Interiors, Inc.
Case No. 2007-011137
Probable cause
was found that Anne Rue of Lake Mary, Florida, is not licensed to practice
interior design services in Florida and is offering such services on her web
site and on a sign. The web site lists numerous commercial projects. Further,
Ms. Rue Is offering such services through a business entity without a
certificate of authorization. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist was issued
and an Administrative Complaint seeking fines was filed.

Licensed Cases
Tony L. Benton
Case No. 2006-065955
Probable Cause
was found that Tony Benton of Panama City, Florida, a licensed architect in the
State of Florida violated chapter 481, Florida Statutes. Mr. Benton was the
successor architect for an airplane hanger project and never notified the
original architect in writing. Mr. Benton signed and sealed engineering plans
that he was not competent to perform. Further, Mr. Benton’s letterhead does not
contain his license number and his title block is in violation. An
Administrative Complaint seeking discipline was filed.
Joseph Borda
Borda Engineers & Energy Consultants
Case No. 2007-007601
Probable Cause
was found that Joseph Borda of Collingswood, New Jersey, is licensed to practice
architecture and engineering in Florida. Mr. Borda was on probation and
submitted plans for review. The plans were the same project that served as the
basis of the administrative complaint on the prior case. The plans were
reviewed by the Board’s expert, Jerry Hicks who found that the plans lacked
detail. Further, Mr. Borda is operating through a business entity without a
certificate of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline
was filed.
Builders
Professional Services, Inc.
Carl M. Coger
Case No. 2007-010161
Probable Cause
was found that Builders Professional Services, Inc., has a certificate of
authorization; however, the firm no longer employs a licensed architect. An
Administrative Complaint seeking discipline was filed.
Timothy Krebs
Case No. 2007-012392
Probable Cause
was found that Timothy Krebs of Englewood, Florida, a licensed architect in the
State of Florida violated chapter 481, Florida Statutes. It was alleged that
Mr. Krebs committed negligence by providing an incorrect wind load analysis for
a residential project. The file was reviewed by the Board’s expert, Jerry
Hicks, who found a violation had occurred. Mr. Hicks determined that the wall
reinforcing and bond beams are inadequate to resist the lateral wind loads. An
Administrative Complaint seeking discipline was filed.
Scholten
Design, Inc.

Case No. 2007-012351
Probable Cause
was found that Scholten Design, Inc. of Naples, Florida is a licensed interior
design firm in Florida that no longer employs a licensed interior designer. An
Administrative Complaint seeking discipline was filed.
