Unlicensed Cases

ABM Design Services, Inc.

William E. Barone

Case No. 2008-011071

Probable cause was found that ABM Design Services and William E. Barone of Port Charlotte, Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and are offering commercial design services on it’s web site. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist from offering architectural services was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Barone sign an affidavit stating he will refrain from offering architectural services in the future. If Mr. Barone fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Builder Boy, Inc.

David A. Johnson

Case No. 2007-044140

Probable cause was found that Builder Boy, Inc. and David A. Johnson of Middleburg, Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and are offering architectural services on its title block on residential drawings. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist from offering architectural services was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Johnson sign an affidavit stating he has changed his title block and will no longer offer such services in the future. If Mr. Johnson fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

 

 

Michael E. Craddock

Case No. 2008-022287

Probable cause was found that Michael E. Craddock of Boca Raton, Florida, was previously licensed; however, his license went delinquent on March 1, 2003 and then into a null and void status on March 1, 2005. Mr. Craddock practiced architecture, held himself out as an architect and used his null and void license number. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

Designhouse of Jacksonville, Inc.

Danielle Hazlett

Case No. 2008-027155

Probable cause was found that Designhouse of Jacksonville, Inc. and Danielle Hazlett of Jacksonville Beach, Florida are not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and contracted to provide interior design services on a commercial project. Further, Ms. Hazlett is offering such services through a business entity without a certificate of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

Dreby Construction, Inc.

James N. Dreby

Case No. 2007-048771

Probable cause was found that Dreby Construction, Inc. and James N. Dreby of Tampa, Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and are offering architectural design services in an advertisement. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist from offering architectural services was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Dreby sign an affidavit stating he has changed his advertisement and will no longer offer such services in the future. If Mr. Dreby fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Carlton George Forbes

Case No. 2008-006722

Probable cause was found that Carlton George Forbes of Coral Springs, Florida, is not licensed to practice architecture in Florida. Mr. Forbes is a licensed Professional Engineer and signed and sealed plans for a residential project without the involvement of an architect. The architectural drawings were prepared by an unlicensed draftsman that entered into a contract with the client and held himself out as an architect. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Craig J. Gehlert, Jr.

Case No. 2008-031686

Probable cause was found that Craig J. Gehlert, Jr. of Ormond Beach, Florida, is not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and is offering commercial design services on his title block. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist from offering architectural and commercial design services was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Gehlert sign an affidavit stating he has changed his title block and will no longer offer such services in the future. If Mr. Gehlert fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Gray & Byram Architect

Kevin Gray

Case No. 2008-024160

Probable cause was found that Gray & Bryam Architect and Kevin Gray of Jacksonville, Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and Kevin Gray refers to himself as an architect in an advertisement. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist from offering architectural services was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Gray sign an affidavit stating he has changed his advertisement and will no longer offer such services in the future. If Mr. Gray fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Douglas W. Lowe

Case No. 2007-068823

Probable cause was found that Douglas W. Lowe of Brandon, Florida, is not licensed to practice architecture in Florida. Mr. Lowe is a licensed Professional Engineer and signed and sealed plans for a residential project without the involvement of an architect. The architectural drawings were prepared by an unlicensed draftsman that had the contract with the owner. The unlicensed draftsman offers architectural drafting on his title block. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

 

Cesar Magnorsky

European Onyx, LLC

Case Nos. 2007-045164 & 2007-045200

Probable cause was found that Cesar Magnorsky and European Onyx, LLC of Hallandale Beach, Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and contracted to provide architectural services for a residence and used the title architect. Further, Mr. Magnorsky is offering these services through a business entity without a certificate of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

Adolfo Perez-Llana

APL

Case No. 2008-011579

Probable cause was found that Adolfo Perez –Llana of Ocala, Florida, is not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and prepared a proposal to provide architectural services for a country club. Further, Mr. Perez-Llanos is offering these services through a business entity without a certificate of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

Plans Services of Okeechobee

Robert Gable

Case No. 2008-021218

Probable cause was found that Plans Services of Okeechobee and Robert Gable of Okeechobee, Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and entered into a contract to provide design services for a commercial project. Further, Mr. Gable is offering these services through a business entity without a certificate of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

Robert Jeff Powell

Case No. 2008-033750

Probable cause was found that Robert Jeff Powell of Clermont, Florida, is not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and is holding himself out as a project architect on his company’s web site. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist from using the title architect was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Powell sign an affidavit stating he has changed his web site and will no longer offer such services in the future. If Mr. Powell fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Remco Builders, Inc.

Todd J. Radebach

Case No. 2008-034227

Probable cause was found that Remco Builders, Inc. and Todd J. Radebach of Bradenton, Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and are offering architectural services on their web site. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist from offering architectural services was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Radebach sign an affidavit stating he has changed his web site and will no longer offer such services in the future. If Mr. Radebach fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Vernon J. Thompson

Paradise Design & Construction

Case No. 2008-027108

Probable cause was found that Vernon J. Thompson and Paradise Design & Construction of Orlando, Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and are holding Mr. Thompson out as an architect at a meeting of the City Commission. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist from using the title architect was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Thompson sign an affidavit stating he will no longer use the title architect. If Mr. Thompson fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Deirdre L. Vouziers

Architecture & Engineering Works, LLC

Case Nos. 2008-031384 & 2008-031371

 

Probable cause was found that Deirdre L. Vouziers and Architecture & Engineering, LLC of Coral Springs, Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and contracted to provide architectural services for a residence and used the title architect. Further, Ms. Vouziers is offering these services through a business entity without a certificate of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

 

Wenzel Grove Delineation, Inc.

Christopher Wenzel

Case No. 2008-019795

 

Probable cause was found that Wenzel Grove Delineation, Inc. and Christopher Wenzel of Sarasota, Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and contracted to provide design services for a commercial project. Further, Mr. Wenzel is offering these services through a business entity without a certificate of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

 

Thomas F. Wheeler

Case No. 2008-020962

 

Probable cause was found that Thomas F. Wheeler of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, is not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and is offering commercial design services on his web site. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist from offering architectural or commercial design services was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Wheeler sign an affidavit stating he has changed his web site and will no longer offer such services in the future. If Mr. Wheeler fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Walter R. Baker, Jr.

2008-0101747

 

Probable cause was found that Walter R. Baker, Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida, is a Florida licensed architect. Mr. Baker, Jr. prepared then signed and sealed plans for a commercial project that an unlicensed individual had the contract. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline will be filed.

 

Steven E. Myott

Case No. 2008-038502

 

Probable cause was found that Steven E. Myott of Boca Raton, Florida, is a Florida licensed architect and was chosen for an audit of the continuing education credits claimed when he renewed his license. Mr. Myott affirmed at renewal that he had completed the required hours but has only provided 13 hours of continuing education during the audit period. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline will be filed.

 

Guillermo C. Palmer

Case No. 2008-038505

 

Probable cause was found that Guillermo C. Palmer of Coral Gables, Florida, is a Florida licensed architect and was chosen for an audit of the continuing education credits claimed when he renewed his license. Mr. Palmer affirmed at renewal that he had completed the required hours but has only provided 13 hours of continuing education during the audit period. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline will be filed.

 

Barbara Van Voast

Case No. 2008-037745

 

Probable cause was found that Barbara Van Voast of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, is a Florida licensed interior designer and was chosen for an audit of the continuing education credits claimed when she renewed her license. Ms. Van Voast affirmed at renewal that she had completed the required hours but has only provided 11 hours of continuing education during the audit period. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline will be filed.
