Unlicensed Cases
ABM Design Services, Inc.

Case No. 2008-011071
Probable cause was found that ABM Design Services and William E. Barone of Port Charlotte, Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and are offering commercial design services on it’s web site. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist from offering architectural services was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Barone sign an affidavit stating he will refrain from offering architectural services in the future. If Mr. Barone fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Marjorie Block
Case No. 2008-020201
Probable cause was found that Marjorie Block of Tampa, Florida is not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and is holding herself out as an interior designer. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist from offering interior design services was issued along with the requirement that Ms. Block sign an affidavit stating she will refrain from offering interior design services in the future. If Ms. Block fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Danette Brockhouse
Design Spectrum International
Case No. 2008-017060
Probable cause was found that Danette Brockhouse and Design Spectrum International of Miami, Florida, are not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and are offering commercial design services on its web site. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist from offering interior design services was issued along with the requirement that Ms. Brockhouse sign an affidavit stating she has changed her advertisement to delete all references to interior design. If Ms. Brockhouse fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Probable cause was found that Builder Boy, Inc. and David A. Johnson of Middleburg, Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and are offering architectural services on its title block on residential drawings. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist from offering architectural services was issued along with the requirement that Mr. Johnson sign an affidavit stating he has changed his title block and will no longer offer such services in the future. If Mr. Johnson fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.
Michael E. Craddock
Case No. 2008-022287
Probable cause was found that Michael E. Craddock of Boca Raton, Florida, was previously licensed; however, his license went delinquent on March 1, 2003 and then into a null and void status on March 1, 2005. Mr. Craddock practiced architecture, held himself out as an architect and used his null and void license number. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

Probable cause was found that Designhouse of Jacksonville, Inc. and Danielle Hazlett of Jacksonville Beach, Florida are not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and contracted to provide interior design services on a commercial project. Further, Ms. Hazlett is offering such services through a business entity without a certificate of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

Mr. Forbes is a licensed Professional Engineer and signed and sealed plans for a residential project without the involvement of an architect. The architectural drawings were prepared by an unlicensed draftsman that entered into a contract with the client and held himself out as an architect. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Freedman of Tampa, Florida, are not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and are offering commercial design services and space planning on its web site. Probable cause was found that Douglas W. Lowe of Brandon, Florida, is not licensed to practice architecture in Florida. Mr. Lowe is a licensed Professional Engineer and signed and sealed plans for a residential project without the involvement of an architect. The architectural drawings were prepared by an unlicensed draftsman that had the contract with the owner. The unlicensed draftsman offers architectural drafting on his title block. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Probable cause was found that Cesar Magnorsky and European Onyx, LLC of Hallandale Beach, Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and contracted to provide architectural services for a residence and used the title architect. Further, Mr. Magnorsky is offering these services through a business entity without a certificate of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

Probable cause was found that Masterpiece Interiors, Inc. and Carol Ratliff of Winter Park, Florida, are not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and are offering interior design and architectural services on their web site. Steven E. Myott

Probable cause was found that Steven E. Myott of Boca Raton, Florida, is a Florida licensed architect and was chosen for an audit of the continuing education credits claimed when he renewed his license. Mr. Myott affirmed at renewal that he had completed the required hours but has only provided 13 hours of continuing education during the audit period. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline will be filed.
