Unlicensed Cases

Case No. 2008-010397

Probable cause was found that Atlantic Construction Illustrators, LLC and James Lucas of West Palm Beach, Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and is offering architectural services on its web site. A Notice to Cease and Desist from offering architectural services was issued along with the requirement that James Lucas sign an affidavit stating it has changed its advertising materials to delete all references to architecture. If Mr. Lucas fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Bryan Edson Design Services

Case No. 2008-002478

Probable cause was found that Bryan Edson Design Services and Bryan Edson of Lynn Haven, Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and contracted to provide design services for a commercial project. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

Case No. 2008-009436

Probable cause was found that Jurgen Muller and Colette Design Studio of Boca Raton, Florida are not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and are offering interior design services on their web site. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Sherrie Disalle

SP Richards Co

Case No. 2008-011544

Probable cause was found that Sherri Disalle of Tampa, Florida, is not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and is holding herself out as a space planning designer. A Notice to Cease and Desist from offering interior design and space planning services was issued along with the requirement that Sherrie Disalle sign an affidavit stating she has changed her business card to delete all references to such services. If Ms. Disalle fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

G. William Architectural Group, Inc.

Gerald Poorman

Case No. 2008-039597

Probable cause was found that Gerald Poorman and G. William Architectural Group, Inc. of Longwood, Florida are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida. Mr. Poorman is doing business as G. William Architectural Group, Inc., and contracted to provide architectural services for a swimming pool cabana. Further, the Subject is offering these services through a business entity without a certificate of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

Greenwood Design Group

Charles Greenwood

Case No. 2008-009779

Probable cause was found that Charles Greenwood and Greenwood Design Group of Boca Raton, Florida, are not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and they are holding themselves out as interior designers. Further, Charles Greenwood is doing business as Greenwood Design Group without a certificate of authorization.An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

Hadinger Flooring

Thomas Hadinger

Case No. 2008-044026

Probable cause was found that Hadinger Flooring and Thomas Hadinger of Naples, Florida, are not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and are offering interior design services in a an advertisement in the Marco Eagle Newspaper. A Notice to Cease and Desist from offering interior design services was issued along with the requirement that Thomas Hadinger sign an affidavit stating it has changed all advertisement to delete all references to interior design. If Mr. Hadinger fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Christina Hillenbrand

Case No. 2008-008298

Probable cause was found that Christina Hillenbrand of Lady Lake, Florida, is not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and the company is offering interior design services in an advertisement in the Villages Daily Sun Newspaper. A Notice to Cease and Desist from offering interior design services was issued along with the requirement that Christina Hillenbrand sign an affidavit stating she has changed her advertisement to delete all references to interior design. If Ms. Hillenbrand fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

In-Site Design Group, Inc.

Annie Carruthers

Case No. 2008-021109

Probable cause was found that Annie Carruthers of In-Site Design Group, Inc. of Hollywood, Florida, is not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and entered into a contract to provide architectural services for a commercial project. Further, Ms. Carruthers is offering these services through a business entity without a certificate of authorization. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

J & D Interior Designer Center Corp.

Juan Correa

Case No. 2008-013505

Probable cause was found that J & D Interior Designer Center Corp. and Juan Correa of Hialeah, Florida, are not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and are doing business as J & D Interior Designer Center Corp. A Notice to Cease and Desist from offering interior design services was issued along with the requirement that Juan Correa sign an affidavit stating he has changed his business name to delete all references to interior designer. If Mr. Correa fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

David Lagares

LQL Management, Inc.

Case No. 2007-043301

Probable cause was found that David Lagares of LQL Management, Inc. in Staten Island, N.Y., is not licensed to practice interior design or architectural services in Florida and contracted to provide architectural services for a four unit apartment building. The Subject is offering these services through a corporation without a certificate of authorization. Further, the Subject’s web site offers interior design services. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

La Maison Fleurie, Inc.

Sophie-Eve Hocquard

Case No. 2008-021051

Probable cause was found that La Maison Fleurie, Inc. and Sophie-Eve Hocquard of Palm Beach, Florida, are not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and are holding themselves out as interior designers on their web site. A Notice to Cease and Desist from offering interior design services was issued along with the requirement that Sophie-Eve Hocquard sign an affidavit stating it has changed her advertisement to delete all references to interior design. If Ms. Hocquard fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Frank Lincoln

Case No. 2008-019719

Probable cause was found that Frank Lincoln of Vero Beach, Florida,was previously a licensed interior designer however his license went null and void in 1995. Mr. Lincoln continued to hold himself out as an interior designer and practice interior design. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

Albert D. Lynch

Albert D. Lynch & Company

Case No. 2007-050849

Probable cause was found that Albert D. Lynch of West Palm Beach, Florida,is not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and contracted to provide interior design services on a residential project. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

Cynthia Muni

Case No. 2008-013613

Probable cause was found that Cynthia Muni of Fort Lauderdale, Florida,is not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and contracted to provide interior design services on a residential project. Ms. Muni’s web site offers both architectural and commercial design services. Ms. Muni also offers interior design services on her business card and solicitation letters. Further, Ms. Muni is offering such services through a business entity without a certificate of authorization. A Notice and Order to Cease and Desist offering interior design services will be issued along with the requirement that Ms. Muni sign an affidavit stating she will refrain from offering interior design services in the future. If Ms. Muni fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Ian Neuberger

Case No. 2008-022078

Probable cause was found that Ian Neuberger of Sunrise, Florida, is not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and contracted to provide signed and sealed drawings for a residential project. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

Paige Drafting Services

Case No. 2008-020169

Probable cause was found that Talmadge Paige and Paige Drafting Services of Rockledge, Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and contracted to provide signed and sealed drawings for a residential project. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

Taf fy L. Robinson

Taffy’s Interiors

Case No. 2008-007121

Probable cause was found that Taffy Robinson and Taffy’s Interiors of Tavernier, Florida,are not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and according to her web site, she provided interior design services for a hotel project. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

Alexandria Rogers

Case No. 2008-020204

Probable cause was found that Alexandria Rogers of Tampa, Florida, is not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and is holding herself out as an interior designer. A Notice to Cease and Desist from offering interior design services was issued along with the requirement that Alexandria Rogers sign an affidavit stating she has changed her advertisement to delete all references to interior design. If Ms. Rogers fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Rudy York Designs, Inc.

Case No. 2008-001458

Probable cause was found that Rudy York Designs, Inc. and Rudy York of Jacksonville, Florida, are not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and are holding themselves out as interior designers in a magazine advertisement. A Notice to Cease and Desist from holding himself out as an interior designer was issued along with the requirement that Rudy York sign an affidavit stating that he will longer hold himself out as an interior designer. If Mr. York fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Jazmin Ruiz

Case No. 2008-043952

Probable cause was found that Jazmin Ruiz of Miami, Florida, is not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and is holding herself out as an interior designer on her business card. A Notice to Cease and Desist from offering interior design services was issued along with the requirement that Jazmin Ruiz sign an affidavit stating she has changed her business card to delete all references to interior design. If Ms. Ruiz fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

SP Richards Co., Inc.

Tom Gallagher

Case No. 2008-011542

Probable cause was found that Tom Gallagher and SP Richards Co., Inc. of Smyrna, Georgia, are not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and is offering space planning and design services on their web site. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

Jeni Swilley

Michele McCarthy Interiors, Inc.

Case No. 2008-015731

Probable cause was found that Jeni Swilley and Michele McCarthy Interiors, Inc. of Ormond Beach, Florida, are not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and are holding themselves out as interior designers on their business card. A Notice to Cease and Desist from holding herself out as an interior designer was issued along with the requirement that Jeni Swilley sign an affidavit stating she will no longer hold herself out as an interior designer. If Ms. Swilley fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

USONA Design

Thomas A. Knoebel

Case No.2008-020132

Probable cause was found that Thomas A. Knoebel and USONA Design, of Satellite Beach, Florida, are not licensed to practice architecture in Florida and entered into a verbal contract with an owner to obtain architectural services on his behalf for a commercial project. An Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed and a Notice and Order to Cease and Desist will be issued.

Walls & More

Phyllis E. Marie

Case No. 2008-021252

Probable cause was found that Walls & More and Phyllis E. Marie of North Palm Beach, Florida, are not licensed to practice interior design in Florida and is offering commercial design services on its web site. A Notice to Cease and Desist from offering interior design services was issued along with the requirement that Phyllis E. Marie sign an affidavit stating she has changed her advertisements to delete all references to interior or commercial design. If Ms. Marie fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Worth Interiors, Inc.

Lisa Kanning

Case No. 2008-021056

Probable cause was found that Worth Interiors, Inc. and Lisa Kanning of West Palm Beach, Florida, are not licensed to practice interior design in Florida is offering interior design services on its web site. A Notice to Cease and Desist from offering interior designer services was issued along with the requirement that Lisa Kanning sign an affidavit stating she has changed her advertisement to delete all references to interior design. If Ms. Kanning fails to return the affidavit, an Administrative Complaint seeking fines will be filed.

Probable cause was found that Ronald P. Barr of Davie, Florida, is a Florida licensed architect. Mr. Barr was chosen for an audit for proof of continuing education credits when he renewed his license. Mr. Barr has provided only 14 hours of continuing education hours during the audit period. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline will be filed.

Lourdes Basadre-Alvarez

Case No. 2007-023291

Probable cause was found that Lourdes Basadre-Alvarez of Miami, Florida, is a Florida licensed interior designer. Ms. Basadre-Alvarez was chosen for an audit for proof of continuing education credits when she renewed her license. Ms. Basadre-Alvarez has not provided proof of any continuing education during the audit period. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline will be filed.

Joseph Dowd

Probable cause was found that Joseph Dowd of Altamonte Springs, Florida, is a Florida licensed interior designer. Mr. Dowd was chosen for an audit for proof of continuing education credits when he renewed his license. Mr. Dowd has provided only 18 hours of continuing education hours during the audit period. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline will be filed.

Probable cause was found that Ora F. Fraze of St. Petersburg, Florida, is a Florida licensed architect. Mr. Fraze was chosen for an audit for proof of continuing education credits when he renewed his license. Mr. Fraze has provided only 15 hours of continuing education hours during the audit period. Probable cause was found that Barbara S. Nichols of Winter Park, Florida, is a Florida licensed interior designer. Ms. Nichols was chosen for an audit for proof of continuing education credits when she renewed her license. Ms. Nichols has provided only 12 hours of continuing education hours during the audit period. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline will be filed.

Probable cause was found that Stephen R. Scheirman of Dallas, TX, is a Florida licensed architect. Mr. Scheirman was chosen for an audit for proof of continuing education credits when he renewed his license. Probable cause was found that Angel Torrez-Collazo and AJT Architecture and Builders, Inc. of Casselberry, Florida, is a Florida licensed architect. Mr. Torrez-Collazo signed and sealed drawings that were prepared by an unlicensed draftsman without ever meeting with the client. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline will be filed.

Probable cause was found that True Engineering & Architecture, Inc. and Amr. T. Gawad of Ocoee, Florida, is a Florida licensed architect. Mr. Gawad’s firm has a certificate of authorization, however, the firm no longer employs a licensed architect. An Administrative Complaint seeking discipline will be filed.
